Wood Carved "African Woman" Abstract Sculpture

This is a very substantial mahogany abstract wood carving of an African woman, who either appears to be holding twins over her head or one of her arms has turned into a snake and she is trying to save the child from the snake's grip. It's all up to your imagination! The origin of this piece is unknown. A crack was repaired on the underside of the carving however it is not visible.
